10,000 Birds, 10,000 Visitors

By Charlie June 8, 2008 4 comments

It’s almost exactly a year since Corey and I joined Mike to make 10,000 Birds a group blog, and we’ve just topped 10,000 visitors in a week for the first time - a stat that not only makes us proud, but a little overwhelmed! Thanks very much to all those of you who’ve popped in to see what we’ve been up to, contributed their comments, and given us such support and encouragement. Stay with us - we’re brimming with ideas and plans, and we just aim to get better and better! So here’s to the next twelve months…and thanks again!

Charlie works for an airline and has birded all over the world for twenty years. He wants to be a writer, and thinks no-one would believe his life could be so charmed if he didn't take photos of as many of the birds he sees as possible. Blogging with 10,000 Birds fits his aims, needs, and insecurities perfectly. Really - do birders get much more fortunate than this?

  1. A whole year!?! No wonder I’m so tired…

Now we have to get to 10,000 visitors in a day!

  2. Thank-you so much for working to bring this incredibly beautiful site to all of us. It is a true celebration of the beauty of birds. The photography is unparalleled and a pleasure each and every day.

  3. Wow! Congrats guys! Tomorrow is the one year anniversary of the famous Wakely Mountain hike. Let’s thank the gods that we didn’t do it in the 90+ degree heat of this weekend! Although, I do remember it being a nice warm day.

  4. Wow congratulations. 10,000 hits is almost 2 months worth of blogging for me. Not surprising though, you guys deserve the visitors.
