  1. ILiving in northwestern Florida, we have a family that has taken residence in our bird house. They are very busy parents, being brown with a yellow breast, good sized 5-6 inches long, long vs short tail, and kind of a crazy little mohawk on the top of its head. more than one bird is feeding the chicks, and the wildest thing is every since the birds hatched the adults fly into my windows! They sound litke a chirp-chirp-on sylable kind of sound….I have seen close looking birds, like a carolina wren or a warbler, but there are diferrences-did I tell you the beak is also long, unlike say a sparrow.
