A Tale of a Hawk Identification

By October 6, 2009 3 comments

Rich Guthrie found a very strange hawk for upstate New York in New Baltimore, Greene County, and tells the tale on his blog. The post is well worth a read and it serves as a reminder that even those with many years of experience birding can still be thrown by the unfamiliar.

  1. FYI The Hawk was re-found this evening. I’ll be looking for it in the AM!

  2. And it is still being seen…anyone driving up from NYC who wants to split gas and tolls just let me know…

  3. A very pretty Hawk! Got lots of photos, I’m sure I’ll have up on my blog this evening!
