It’s Friday.  That means it’s time for the answer to Wednesday’s Just For Fun Avian ID Quiz #12: A Tale.

Happy New Year from the Quizmaster!   And that’s just one more clue to this quiz.  Can you get the answer now?

A quick review.  The question was to determine what these three phrases meant:
– Nice Forgery
– Earlier Smooch
– Bike Rig Men

The answer is of course:
– Nice Forgery is an anagram of Corey Finger
– Earlier Smooch is an anagram of Charlie Moores
– Men Rig Bike is an anagram of Mike Bergin

In addition
– Away Hyper Pen = Happy New Year
– Semi Quartz = Quizmaster

Kudos to Chris, John and Will (perhaps) for getting the correct answer.

So the answer to this week’s quiz is the names of the three most famous bird bloggers on 10,000 Birds: Corey, Charlie and Mike.  I again wanted to show appreciation for their wonderful stories, their great pictures and how well they express the heart and soul of birding.

Written by Jory
Jory's first field guide-identified bird was a Northern Cardinal. This turned out to be his gateway drug into birding. In 2007 Jory became the least accomplished birder to see 300 birds in New York State in one year. He has birded the world over but maintains his birding "beginner mind", of which he is inordinately proud. Just ask him. Jory is the 10,000 Birds Avian Quizmaster, coming up with ever more diabolical ways to stump his legion of devoted fans. He lives with his wife and the possessions of his children just outside of Albany NY.
