Bachman’s Warbler specimen in Iceland museum

Spectacular news emerged yesterday that a skin held by a museum in Iceland had been re-identified as a Bachman’s Warbler - the first and presumably only record of this now (presumed) extinct species outside North America. More details were searched for but not found - except that the news appeared on an Icelandic birding website on April 1st…
