Beck from the dead

A Pacific petrel has been ‘resurrected’ following its rediscovery off the coast of Papua New Guinea. Almost 80 years after the species was first seen, 20+ Beck’s Petrel Pseudobulweria becki were attracted to ‘chum’ by Hadoram Shirihai in July 2007.
