Cyprus to ban spring shooting forever?

Excellent news on Birdlife’s website today that the Cypriot Government has decided to ban all shooting of birds during the month of May. The decision was reached for convoluted reasons (as BirdLife explains) but will help protect migrants - though it must be remembered that it will not protect them from the island’s organised gangs of poachers who are illegally trapping hundreds of thousands of birds a year.
