Disposable

My brother Nial, Director of the conservation organisation Birds Korea, took this photograph of a dead Great Knot at Saemangeum yesterday and I think it’s one of the most poignant photographs I’ve ever seen. I’ve been thinking how to explain why it affected me so much, and the word that kept coming to me was “Disposable”…
