Ducklings!
By Corey • May 10, 2007 • 4 commentsThree broods, one of 11, one of 9, and one of 3, all in Congress Park in Saratoga Springs. I was wondering where all the female ducks had went…

The oddball duckling was with what looked like a pure female Mallard, and all the other ducklings looked like normal Mallards. Was some egg dumping going on?

those are nice images-very sharp and colorful.-I once became confused about female Mallards thinking they might be female Blue-winged Teal.
I love mallard ducks! They r mt favorite things in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i think that thse babys are so sweet!!
Each egg can be fertilized by a different male duck. The baby looks melanistic though. Mallards can be Albinos (no color) leucistic(lacking some color) or melanistic (too much color)
