Fahrenheit Whatever

It’s Friday and I’m sure we all want to have a little fun. Have I got a film for you!

FAHRENHEIT WHATEVER (whatever temperature it takes to make a house made entirely out of matches BURN) is a funny and compelling drama of what happens when an ordinary family asks Bush for a practical solution to help them stop their house from burning. Bush responds with tax cuts, misguided efforts to fight the war on terror and the notion that the real problem in America is gay marriage.

This soon-to-be-classic political satire sprung from a simple question, one many of us ask ourselves from time to time: What do you do with a house of matches? Friend of the Core Team, Dean was confronted by that very question, having built a little shack out of match sticks. As a concerned citizen, he made the only rational choice and used said model as the foundation for a Swiftian send-up of senseless governance.

I’m proud to say that I and many Core Team allies made up the creative team that executed this masterpiece of high concept and low production values. Filmed in only one take at Chicken Inferno 2004, this work is definitely worth five minutes of your time, if only to hear our friend, Jay’s plummy dialogue. Watch FAHRENHEIT WHATEVER here and let me know what you think.
