Obviously the headline I’ve chosen is hyperbolic but genetically modified organisms worry me. And, if reading science fiction for my whole life has taught me anything, it’s that thousands of acres of genetically modified eucalyptus trees being planted across the southern United States is potentially disastrous.
Of course, the trees are being planted for profit by corporations, so nothing could really go wrong, right? And if something does go wrong, the corporations will make everything better, right? Now who’s basing their opinion on fiction?
