We are sad to say that two of our beat writers, one of whom joined in the first group and the other of whom joined in the second wave of beat writers, will be leaving 10,000 Birds.

Jory Langner, our excellent Avian Quizmaster, will puzzle us one last time in October before hanging up his keyboard and riding off into the sunset.  Or something like that.  Dan Rhoads, who has ably and enthusiastically chronicled the birds of Cyprus and those who sought to do them harm, decided that with all of life’s other commitments he could not provide the quality content to 10,000 Birds readers that he wanted to.

We wish both of them the best and strongly encourage you to visit Dan’s original blogging home where his blog posts will still appear, Migrations.

As always, to see the full profiles of all of the 10,000 Birds beat writers, as well as a schedule, please check out the page for 10,000 Birds Beat Writers.  Also, make sure to pay attention to 10,000 Birds as we will soon be announcing some new and exciting additions to our beat writing team!
