Sensational news from Spoon-billed Sandpiper survey

A survey has found at least 84 Spoon-billed Sandpiper in the Burmese part of the Bay of Bengal (apparently the highest confirmed national count of this now Critically Endangered species in its over-wintering range). The official survey report is yet to be released but preliminary details are on the Birds Korea website.
