Corey is a lifelong upstate New Yorker who recently took the plunge and moved to the city. He's only been birding since 2005 but has garnered a respectable life list and broke the magical 300 barrier in New York State in 2007 by birding whenever he wasn't working as a union representative. He lives near Forest Park in Queens with Daisy, their son, Desmond, and their two indoor cats, Hunter and B.B.

  1. I’m sure the movie will retain the book’s respectful attitude toward birding and its participants and not resort to slapstick humor and “blue-footed boobie” jokes.

hahah no it totally will this is going to be awful.

  2. A website called The Frat Pack, which follows the movie moves of Ben Stiller, the Wilson Brothers, etc., reports that Ben Stiller is one of the producers and that the casting is:
    * Dustin Hoffman as Al Levinton
    * Owen Wilson as Sandy Komito
    * Jack Black as Greg Miller
Which is really odd. I assumed Dustin would be a perfect Sandy Komito.

And yeah, like Nick says, this is a movie that will doubtless communicate why birders are obsessed with birding.
