Is it starting to get hot where you live or have you already been sweltering? Maybe you live on the side of the planet that’s cooling off. With the heat wave planned for NYC, this weekend is going to be a HOT one! So where are you going birding this weekend? Comment below on the excitement you have planned!

My family will be holding court in the mighty Bronx Zoo; while I shy away from birds in cages, there are often interesting birds in the area. Charlie, fresh off a week of Cape Town and Wales, is going to try to catch up with some common British summer breeding birds he still hasn’t managed to see yet this year – Common Tern, Hobby, Cuckoo, and Sedge Warbler – by going to the Cotswold Water Park. Sounds refreshing! Corey will, of course, be birding in Queens, probably Jamaica Bay, but taking a novice birding friend along. But he’ll also be heading to Doodletown Road with a couple of Queens birders… Cerulean Warblers, here he comes!

While gearing up to watch the skies this weekend, be sure to indulge in Sky Watch Friday…
