The true treasure of the Sierra Madre is its stunning beauty (and jays)

In the Southern Hemisphere, days are growing just slightly longer, while, in the northern half of the world, summer revelers bemoan the coming fall. No matter how you slice it, birding in the temperate zones is gradually becoming more interesting. Enjoy!

I’m heading down the Delmarva Peninsula for some gracious coastal birding. Corey will be camping in the Catskills. Good times! How about you? Where will you be this weekend and will you be birding? Share your plans in the comments below.

Whatever your plans this weekend, make time to enjoy SkyWatch Friday. Also be sure to come back Monday to share your best bird of the weekend!
