Believe it or not, friends, we are closer to spring than we are to fall. The next avian migration we experience north of the Equator will carry passerines in bright breeding plumage full of song and vinegar, bursting to beget the next generation of birds. Until then, look at waterfowl, hawks, and gulls! What will you be doing this weekend and will you be birding? Share your plans in the comments below.

I’m sorry to say that I still haven’t been able to dig a path to my bird feeder. “Maybe this is the weekend,” reply a flock of House Sparrows! Corey may succumb to the usual Queens birding circuit or make good on some plans with much greater potential.

Whatever your plans this weekend, make time to enjoy SkyWatch Friday. Also be sure to come back Monday to share your best bird of the weekend!
