Ah, June… here in the Northern Hemisphere, we’re poised to enjoy the longest day of our year, the earliest summer solstice since 1896. South of the equator, the days will be proportionally petite. No matter how much daylight you’ve got, you’ve got to use it well.  So where are you going birding this weekend? Comment below on the excitement you have planned!

I’m swamped this weekend but with good reason; I’ll be sharing some big, exciting Core Team news next week. Regrettably, this will restrict me mostly to watching pigeons and robins. Corey is hoping for bigger game, perhaps at Jamaica Bay. Charlie, fresh off a fine “tern of events” in Hong Kong, might just sit down for a moment or two, but somehow I doubt it…

While gearing up to watch the skies this weekend, be sure to indulge in Sky Watch Friday
