Is it summer yet? Oh, technically it’s still summer you say (or winter, depending on your hemisphere!) That’s right, this is the last official weekend of the summer of 2008. It’s also a time when migratory birds are pouring from the poles to the equatorial regions (or vice versa, depending on your heimsphere!) So where are you going this weekend and will you watching birds? Comment below on the excitement you have planned!

I believe I will be taking a brief break from active birding after last weekend’s mighty Montezuma Muckrace. Not Corey though! He and Charlie will be meeting (without me, sniff) in New York City to chase fall migrants and vagrants. If any NYC-area readers with a car want to join in the chase, let us know in the comments.

Regardless of how you plan to celebrate the passing of this season, be sure to celebrate Sky Watch Friday
