White-browed Forest-flycatcher

The White-browed Forest-flycatcher Fraseria cinerascens is a locally common West and Central African endemic (found in Angola, Benin, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal, and Sierra Leone). It’s a species of dense undergrowth, found in the forest understorey along rivers, streams, or in swamps where it tends to sit quietly and unobtrusively.

This bird was photographed In Lagos’s Lekki Reserve, where it was remarkably difficult to see at first (if it hadn’t flown to catch a prey item I would’ve walked straight past it) but reasonably approachable.

He wants to be a writer, and thinks no-one would believe his life could be so charmed if he didn't take photos of as many of the birds he sees as possible. Blogging with 10,000 Birds fits his aims, needs, and insecurities perfectly. Really - do birders get much more fortunate than this?
