Will They Start Killing Eagles Now?

A Bald Eagle crashed into an Alaska Airlines jet as it roared down the runway in Sitka, Alaska, at 140 mph on Sunday, nearly causing a disaster and forcing the plane to stay on the ground. Then, amazingly, the plane sent to replace the damaged plane ALSO HIT AN EAGLE! We know how New York City reacted to Canada Geese colliding with a plane so one must wonder if Bald Eagles are going to face a cull? Or are they safe because they don’t poop on lawns?

They’ll soon be hunting them from helicopters, and it’ll be well documented by Faux News’ expert Alaska commentator.

Maybe the Discovery Channel can do a reality show – “Eagle Hunters” – hosted by you-know-who.

Surely nothing can happen, the national bird has a higher level of protection than canada geese.

Birds in the Mossad?

Last year, vigilant Saudi Arabian officials detained an Israeli spy vulture yet apparently failed to foil the “Zionist espionage plot.” How else to explain the highly suspicious European Bee-Eater Turkish authorities are currently investigating. Too Many Nene?

Hawaii’s state bird, the endangered goose known as the Nene, has recovered from a population of a mere 30 birds in 1952 to over 2,000 today. The problem is that they seem to find the area around Lihue Airport irresistible so they have to be moved. Clearly there aren’t too many Nene but more habitat is needed.
