Over 230 species seen in the lodge grounds but most of the rarer birds seen in the park or at the hides which include Great Hornbill, Tickell’s brown Hornbill, Silver-breasted Broadbill, Black-and-Red Broadbill, Blue Pitta, Eared Pitta, Blue-winged Pitta, Grey-Peacock Pheasant, Ferruginous Partridge, Red-legged Crake, Banded Kingfisher, Blue-banded Kingfisher, Black-backed Kingfisher, and about 400 others.

What is the best time to visit your lodge, and why?

For bird watching – Dec to Mar as all the winter visitors are around and a trip to the coast for Spoon-billed Sandpiper, Asian Dowitcher, and Nordmann’s Greenshank is possible.
For bird photography – Apr to June as the resident birds are nesting, including broadbills, pittas, kingfishers, and woodpeckers.
