If, like me, you like Green Herons and if, like me, you like birds with oddball plumages, then this post is for you. Photographed in Cuba, the bird appears to be a melanistic Green Heron though it might perhaps be a dark form or even stained by algae. The jury is still out but what a cool bird!

That is really trippy. Reminds me of gulls I’ve seen that have gotten into toner cartridges at the dump, but the coverage was never that good!
Do you have pictures of those gulls? Because that sounds like it would be neat to see.
