The past couple of months have been huge for my brother, Matt (didn’t know I had a brother, did you?) First and foremost, he and his wonderful wife Ursula delivered unto the world my very first niece, Alexa! In that span, another labor of love also came to fruition and now my brother’s very first comic has been published.
Division 18: The Union of Novelty Costumed Performers is written by Matt and illustrated by our friend, Jeremy. Their masterwork has mass appeal even for that large portion of the population that eschews tales of tights and capes. The premise of Division 18 is simple:
Somewhere between Sesame Street and The Sopranos lies Division 18: The Union of Novelty Costumed Performers. It’s the heartwarming story of a bunch of thugs fronting as costumed entertainers… or are they costumed entertainers fronting as thugs?
In a nutshell, it’s both funny and coarse! So support indie publishers, particularly those in my bloodline, and seek out Division 18 in your local comic shop today!
While we’re on the subject of promoting publications, how about that Birdchick? Her new book, Disapproving Rabbits is taking the world by storm! It seems like Sharon has successfully tapped into our culture’s twin passions for adorable pets and authoritarian disapproval. Congrats!
