Four critically endangered Indonesian birds – the Flores Hawk, the Siau Owl, the Sangihe Honeybird, and the Mandar Gendang, which is otherwise known as the Invisible Rail – will have their profiles raised a bit when they debut on Indonesian postage stamps. It is unclear if the Invisible Rail stamp will be blank.
Indonesia hosts 1,597 species, of which 126 are endangered – 19 critically.
