Have you read any of the Bob White Birder Murder Mystery series? I haven’t read any of these well-reviewed novels yet, but now seems an ideal time to start. Author Jan Dunlap just let us know that the newest book in the series, A Murder of Crows, is available as a FREE Kindle book only until October 12 at Amazon.com. How can you resist?! A couple reviews I did of this current book and the previous one. I liked ’em a lot!

I’ve read some of the previous books. The writing is in bad need of an editor. The publishing house that puts these out is a vanity press so they don’t put much if anything into editing. Basically you pay them to publish your books (though they will deny this). It is a shame. The story ideas aren’t too bad they just badly need a real editor.
