Happy Thanksgiving! Today is a day most Americans have eating (and maybe football) on our minds. But once we push away from that table, perchance to slip into tryptophan-induced slumber, we can turn our thoughts back to birding! How will you be spending this splendid weekend and will you be birding?
We’ll be kicking around Rochester until the weekend, whereupon we’ll visit my mother-in-law and her busy bird feeders. Corey will be upstate at his folks’ house; hopefully he’ll see birds other than the turkey on the table.
Whatever your plans this weekend, make time to enjoy SkyWatch Friday. Also be sure to come back Monday to share your best bird of the weekend!
Keep your eyes to the skies for snowbirds like this Dark-eyed Junco on Long Island, NY
I suspect I will be too busy to do too much birding this weekend, my midweeks seem to be better for it at the moment. So I’m gonna cheat and say East Harbour Regional Park (where I was Tuesday and Wednesday) and the beach (I’m going today) and maaaayyyybbbbeeee Karori Wildlife Sanctuary Saturday). I already know what my best bird will be though.
Happy Sky Watch Friday, always enjoy stopping by to see what birds you have found on your horizon this week.
Your blog and photography are excellent. Yes, it’s always time for birding! Please come by and check out World Bird Wednesday. It would be an honor to have you visit!
