Most weeks, we tend to focus on the movements and migrations of birds. However, with upcoming Easter and Passover festivities and America’s all-important Spring Break, now is a good time to focus on the peregrinations of people. Where are you going this weekend? Will you see birds there? Share your plans in the comments below!
As is my wont, we’ll be celebrating a secular Easter replete with colored eggs, chocolate bunnies, and a fun family hike. Perhaps I’ll even see my First Phoebe of 2012. Corey will be visiting his folks in upstate New York.
Whatever your plans this weekend, make time to enjoy SkyWatch Friday. Also be sure to come back Monday to share your best bird of the weekend!
Keep your eyes to the skies… you might see an Albatross!
(Find out where you might spy a Shy Albatross and other phenomenal pelagics with Patrick Cardwell)
Great photo of nature at play. Thanks for sharing with SWF.
Does Friday count as the weekend? I’m going to bird a few spots in San Diego that Im not too familiar with, and hopefully end up with a year bird or three and a megavagrant or two. Saturday is field work and Sunday is Gray Vireo hunting!
Gorgeous bird and a great shot. Happy Skywatching! I am going to Ricketts Glen St Park today. Not sure what birds I will see there.
Migrants are passing through Costa Rica at this time so I hope to look for them somewhere tomorrow. On Sunday, I believe it will be off to my mother in laws house where I may see a Clay-colored Robin but not much else.
Excellent photo.
Regards and best wishes
