October much resembles March in these parts, but reversed in polarity. This month comes in like a lamb, unless you’re paying attention to fall migration, in which case the lion is roaring right now. Enjoy!
I don’t know why I’ve done this to myself, but I’ve been working every weekend morning. This weekend will be the same, which will definitely impede my birding exploits. On the other hand, nothing can stop Corey from rolling up rarities across NYC during one of his favorite times of year.
How about you? Where will you be this weekend and will you be birding? Share your plans in the comments below.
Whatever your plans this weekend, make time to enjoy SkyWatch Friday. Also be sure to come back Monday to share your best bird of the weekend!
Awesome! An Osprey!
We’re leaving today on a week long tour birding around Montana and should see some great fall migration spectacles!
I’ll be enjoying a beautiful fall weekend in Georgia on the west side of Atlanta. Supposed to be plenty of sunshine highs in the mid 60’s and lows in the upper 40’s. I will have my binocs with me and always looking up!! I will also be wearing my comfortable Bird Nerd T-shirt from Birders Life…your #1 source for birding apparel.
