May is moving away from us and with it, masses of migrants headed to their summer or winter abodes. If you’re the type who enjoys variety in your bird blend, get out there soon. In no time at all, you’ll be left with your usual residents. How will you be spending the last weekend of May 2009 and will you be birding? Share your plans in the comments below!

As much as I’d like to be out in the midst of that migrant fallout that has thus far eluded me this year, I’ll be dedicating my weekend to celebrating Ivy’s 3rd birthday! Thus Corey (who probably didn’t even get my dear daughter a card) will have to bird for both of us; look for him anywhere in the NYC area. Charlie, wherever he is, will probably eschew avian pleasures in order to manage the onslaught of early entries for our Puerto Rico Birding Tour Giveaway. Have you sent yours in yet?
