Nature lovers who love to travel know that few experiences are more enjoyable than preparation for a big trip. The mundane details that actually allow a trip to happen are tedious, but researching all those potential birds… huge fun! Your theoretical trip list will always be so much more extensive and exotic than your actual list. Who doesn’t love that feeling of endless possibility?

Why is travel on my mind? Because I’ll be birding Japan this weekend en route to Singapore! I’ve never birded Asia, so you can probably imagine how delirious I am in contemplating the daunting diversity ahead of me. As far as Corey is concerned, nothing he can be doing this weekend could compare to my plans, so let’s not even pretend we care 😉 How about you? Where will you be this weekend and will you be birding? Share your plans in the comments below.

Whatever your plans this weekend, make time to enjoy SkyWatch Friday. Also be sure to come back Monday to share your best bird of the weekend!

(If you visit at the right time, you might see what Duncan saw here: albatrosses!)
