In the middle of October, most of us in the Northern Hemisphere are enjoying the turning of the leaves and onset of full fall weather. How quickly that can turn to frost in my neck of the woods! Still, pumpkins are on the vine and birds on the wing… what more could you want? How are you going to spend this weekend and will you be birding? Share your plans in the comments below.
Corey and I will be reunited for some fabulous (I hope) fall NYC birding this weekend. Poor Charlie won’t be there, so I’m sure he’ll be holed up in his “podding” shed laying down some tracks for Talking Naturally.
Whatever your plans this weekend, make time to enjoy SkyWatch Friday. Also be sure to come back Monday to share your best bird of the weekend!
Beautiful image! Beautiful reflection of the pale sunrise!
Wonderful view!
What a beautiful sight and I love the reflection too. Happy Friday!
Sky Reflection
Lovely shot, Mike. I like the reflections:)

what a wonderful sky….I couldn’t help but notice all your birds…just lovely…I have you on my link list on my birding blog….amateur birder…I will try and come back on Monday and hopefully I will have a new bird to share..
Great photo! I will be in the Grand Tetons looking for montane species 🙂
The reflecting sky looks really fantastic!!
Great sky! I will be out and about in SE KS this weekend.
I might be exploring the “Fields south of Rohrbach” which I hope will be as okay as the Fields south of Leimen (all near Heidelberg, Germany).
Chances are, however, that I’ll be stuck in the appartment unpacking scores of cardboard boxes…
Phenomenal shot, Corey! Really lovel,
My first birding playdate (in other words, birding with people outside of a formal walk) with a few other local people in my age demographic. (Young birders are hard to find in these parts!) We’re planning on hitting the parks with lakes in Eastchester, Tuckahoe, and Bronxville, NY.
Beautiful SkyWatch posting!
thank you for sharing this beautiful photo work
Happy SWF! Have a good weekend,
Regards, Bram
