Corey is a New Yorker who lived most of his life in upstate New York but has lived in Queens since 2008. He's only been birding since 2005 but has garnered a respectable life list by birding whenever he wasn't working as a union representative or spending time with his family. He lives in Forest Hills with Daisy and Desmond Shearwater. His bird photographs have appeared on the Today Show, in Birding, Living Bird Magazine, Bird Watcher's Digest, and many other fine publications. He is also the author of the American Birding Association Field Guide to the Birds of New York.
Thanks for sharing that news Corey. I’m delighted and humbled by those willing to join the effort of spreading the passion and joy of birding. I’m confident that this team will regularly deliver engaging content and not be one of those boring birding blogs you mentioned recently.
It’ll be interesting to see how it goes. Is the bird-blog viewing audience already saturated with multi-author blogs? There really are some great multi-author blogs out there: 10000Birds, ABA Blog, BirdingBlogs.com, North American Birding, and The Nemesis Bird. I’m a fan of all of these sites. While we may compete slightly for potential readers time, I think all of this blogs compliment each other and promote birding.
